WHO WE ARE
Welcome to our turf.
The GOAT Collaborative exists to champion the nonprofits already rolling up their sleeves across Western North Carolina—those growing our food systems, protecting our land and water, and caring for the people who call this place home.
We funnel funding, resources, and awareness to the helpers so their good work can stretch farther and root deeper in our communities.
OUR MISSION
The GOAT Collaborative exists to strengthen communities in Western North Carolina by connecting people to the land, their food, and each other. Our mission is to help communities live well—rooted in environmental resilience, shared opportunity, and a belief that everyone belongs.
Our Mission Has Roots
Around here, folks know that good soil, clean water, and a strong community don’t just happen—they’re cared for, tended to, passed down.
The GOAT Collaborative exists to back the people and nonprofits doing exactly that: protecting our food, our land, our water, and the neighbors who call Western North Carolina home.
